TIPS ON HOW TO DESIGN YOUR OUTDOOR SPACE

Whether you are in the process of renovating your home or just looking for ways to improve your outdoor space, there is one pretty important factor that must be taken into consideration: the look of an outdoor interior.

1. FIND AN ACCENT PIECE

Think chairs, cabinets, sofas and more. You want these items to be the focal point of the space. You can also use accent pieces such as framed art and lanterns to add some color and interest in your outdoor area. This can be a great way to add a pop of color while still maintaining an overall neutral look.

2. ADD A RUG

Yes, rugs are important! Adding a rug helps complete any space, so when it comes to the outdoors, add a rug! If your outdoor space is larger, adding a rug or two will help define different areas of the space. It's a cozy place in your home, so why not create an outdoor space? It's also nice to have something soft under your feet.

3. MATCHING PLANTERS

Lush greenery is a must-have for any outdoor space. Take your greens to the next level and invest in some planters. Planters will help bring color and texture to the space. You can easily DIY what you already have with paint and some TLC.

4. VERTICAL

plant ladder for outdoor decoration. This not only works for the site owner, but also creates visual interest. Indoors, you will often add walls or pictures to the wall to add interest, keep this in mind when decorating your garden/patio. If plant walls aren't for you, consider sculptures, fountains, and outdoor art.

5. ADD LIGHTING

Many people don't think outdoor lighting is beautiful, but it is! Good lighting can help create a warm and comfortable atmosphere. String lights are always my favourite, they are easy to install and make a big impact. You can even add fun lights!
